Day 1: Monday, October 13
We make our way to Rutland, Vermont, and check into our hotel for the evening. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Tuesday, October 14
Our day begins with breakfast at our hotel. Our local guide will meet us for a full day of touring. We will visit the Vermont History Museum and learn about the history of the Green Mountain State.
Lunch will be on our own at the Capitol Café, in Montpelier then a self-guided tour thru the smallest Capitol in the U.S. with its large gold dome. Its House and Senate chambers are the oldest active legislative halls in the country that have preserved their original interiors.
The next stop of the afternoon will be The Annex. Browse the fantastic selection of Cabot Cheese products, pick up some delicious Lake Champlain Chocolates, and possibly a visit to the local Distillery.
Next is a stop at the Vermont Granite Museum – Housed in a beautifully restored 1895 granite plant, the museum features over forty exhibits highlighting the art, history, and science of Vermont’s granite industry. Visitors can also watch the resident sculptor at work on memorial and commemorative art.
Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant before we head back to our hotel.

Day 3: Wednesday, October 15
Breakfast will be at our hotel this morning before meeting our tour guide for another full day of touring.
We will start our day with a visit to Mendon Mountain Orchards, a family-owned historic apple orchard in the heart of Vermont. Enjoy time in the farm store/bakery.
On the way to Pittsford, we will stop at the Gorham Covered Bridge for a photo stop.
Next, we will arrive at the New England Maple Museum where we will learn about the history of maple sugaring through exciting and entertaining exhibits. Enjoy a maple syrup sample and visit their country store.
We will have free time for lunch on our own and shopping in the charming town of Middlebury. Walk, browse and shop in this charming town. Stop at Danforth Pewter and see the artisans at work and discover the history and romance of this timeless metal at this well-known Vermont company making beautiful pewter products.
Our day continues with a visit to Blue Ledge Farm. Established in 2000 in Leicester, it is a first generation, family owned and run goat dairy and cheese-making operation. Their mission is to create a high-quality product, built on the cornerstones of respect for consumers, land and animals as well as the local community.
To end the day, we will attend a gourmet dinner and live cooking demonstration hosted by a Vermont Chef at Café Provence. We will be entertained “in the kitchen” with cooking tips and recipes, then taste the results.

Day 4: Thursday, October 16
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning before departing for home with fond memories of the True Flavors of Vermont.
