Join us in celebrating a Colonial Christmastime in Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown, VA. Experience the Grand Illumination over the beautiful colonial capital. Stroll the decorated streets of Historic Colonial Williamsburg, eat at a local tavern and enjoy some holiday shopping at the Christmas Market. We will tour the Jamestown Settlement and visit Historic Jamestown and Glass House where we will witness glassblowing, a craftmanship of early American settlers.  Who doesn’t love a parade…we will watch a tradition that started in 1965, to spark the wonderful spirit of Christmas and watch the Williamsburg Christmas Parade.

Departure Information:
9:30 AM –      Elite Coach Parking Lot – 1685 W Main St, Ephrata
(please park in the spaces behind the office building)
10:15 AM –      Lancaster Shopping Center – 1515 Lititz Pike, Lancaster
(please park in the lot that is along the Oregon Pike side of the old A.C. Moore building)

Loading will begin 15 minutes prior to departure time.

Return Information:
4:45 PM (Approx.) – Lancaster Shopping Center

Day 1: Friday, December 5

Today is our travel day to Colonial Williamsburg. We will arrive in time to dine at one of Colonial Williamsburg’s historic taverns, where a Nation Builder will engage us with stories of the past, offering unique glimpse into life during the colonial era. The immersive experience brings history to life with lively conversation and traditional cuisine.

After dinner we will check into our hotel, where we will enjoy a blend of Southern charm and modern comfort.

Day 2: Saturday, December 6

We will start our day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before exploring the wonders of Colonial Williamsburg.

After breakfast we step back in time as we explore the Colonial Williamsburg Historic Districts with our tour guide. We will visit iconic sites like the Governor’s Palace, the Capitol, and various trade shops.  The morning focuses on seeing major attractions and engaging with costumed interpreters who bring the 18th-century city to life.

Lunch will be enjoyed on your own at one of the many eateries in the historic district or nearby Christmas Market, where you’ll find a variety of seasonal treats and local fare.

Spend the afternoon exploring at your own pace. Visit the Christmas Market near the art museum, shop for holiday gifts, or relax in the beautifully decorated historic area.

Mid-afternoon you will have the choice to head back to the hotel to rest and refresh for the evening or you can stay in Colonial Williamsburg and meet at the Williamsburg Lodge for dinner.

Tonight, we will dine in style at the Williamsburg Lodge, choosing from a selection of locally inspired dishes.

After dinner we will have reserved seating and experience the magic of the Grand Illumination. This spectacular annual event that lights up Colonial Williamsburg with fireworks, musical performances, and historical reenactments. The festivities mark the beginning of the holiday season, featuring pyrotechnic displays that illuminate the night sky above the historic area.

Day 3: Sunday, December 7

We will enjoy a delicious breakfast at the hotel before starting a day full of exploration and historical discovery.

After breakfast we visit the Jamestown Settlement, where history comes alive through gallery exhibits, recreations of the 1607 English ships, and a Powhatan Indian village. Our tour guide will help us experience the story of America’s first permanent English colony with engaging activities and interpretive programs.

Lunch today will be enjoyed at the Jamestown Café. We will have a variety of delicious options including freshly prepared sandwiches, salads, and regional specialties inspired by Virginia’s culinary traditions.

This afternoon we will explore Historic Jamestowne, the original site of the first permanent English settlement in America. Visit the Glass House to witness glassblowing demonstrations that showcase the craftsmanship of early American settlers.

Before dinner this evening, we will feel the Christmas magic watching the Williamsburg Christmas Parade. This cherished tradition kicked off in 1965, and has been a yearly event the unites the community in the wonderful spirit of Christmas.

This evening’s dinner is at the Blue Talon Bistro. The Blue Talon offers a menu that is a la carte, making it a delightful dining option to round off your evening.

Day 4: Monday, December 8

We will have breakfast this morning at the hotel before checking out and embarking on our journey home back to the 21st Century.
