Day 1: Monday, June 22
After departing and beginning our scenic journey north, we will stop en route for lunch on our own.
After lunch we head to the heart of East Aurora. Vidler’s Five and Dime is a beloved vintage-style variety store that’s been delighting visitors since 1930. Spanning multiple connected buildings, it offers a nostalgic shopping experience with thousands of quirky, practical, and whimsical items.
Next, we will check into our hotel before heading to dinner at the Parkway Prime Steakhouse & Lounge, overlooking the scenic Niagara River.

Day 2: Tuesday, June 23
After breakfast we will meet our guide for a full-day tour of Niagara Falls from a variety of angles, as well as the surrounding communities.
Cave of the Winds is a thrilling attraction offering us an up-close experience with the powerful Bridal Veil Falls. We will descend into Niagara Gorge and walk along wooden platforms just feet from the rushing water, where we will feel the full force of the falls on the Hurricane Deck. Ponchos and special footwear are provided but expect to get wet. It’s a unique and exhilarating way to experience the natural beauty and power of Niagara Falls.
The Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center offers a powerful and immersive experience that highlights the stories of freedom seekers who passed through Niagara Falls on their journey to liberation. Located near the historic U.S. Custom House, the museum features interactive exhibits, guided tours, and multimedia presentations that explore the region’s critical role in the Underground Railroad. It’s a meaningful stop that connects visitors to the courageous individuals and local allies who helped shape the path to freedom.
Up next, nestled along the banks of the Niagara River just minutes from Niagara Falls, Lewiston, NY, is a charming historic village known for its rich heritage, scenic beauty, and welcoming atmosphere. Once a key stop on the Underground Railroad and the site of early battles in the War of 1812, Lewiston blends history with small-town charm. Stroll along Center Street and explore boutique shops and cafes. It’s the perfect midday stop for lunch and a taste of local culture.
We will step back in time on the Lockport Locks & Erie Canal Cruise, a narrated journey through one of America’s most historic waterways. Located in the charming town of Lockport, this cruise takes you through a set of 100-year-old working locks, lifting and lowering your boat as you learn about the engineering marvels of the Erie Canal. Along the way, enjoy scenic views, fascinating stories, and a relaxing ride that brings New York’s canal heritage to life.
We will return to Niagara Falls for dinner at the Hard Rock Café. Located steps from the falls, this iconic venue features legendary music memorabilia and a vibrant atmosphere.
As evening descends on Niagara Falls, the waterfalls are transformed into a stunning spectacle of light during the Illumination of the Falls. Brilliant colors dance across the American and Horseshoe Falls, creating a magical and unforgettable atmosphere. You’ll be able to walk back to your hotel from here.

Day 3: Wednesday, June 24
After breakfast we meet our guide. We will experience the awe-inspiring power of Niagara Falls up close aboard the legendary Maid of the Mist. This iconic boat tour takes you on an unforgettable journey into the heart of the falls, where we will feel the thunderous roar and misty spray as you cruise past the American and Horseshoe Falls. Ponchos are provided but expect to get delightfully wet as you witness one of nature’s most powerful wonders from a truly unique perspective.
Rising high above the Niagara Gorge, the Niagara Observation Tower at Prospect Point offers one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of all three Niagara Falls-American, Bridal Veil, and Horseshoe. This glass-walled tower extends out over the Niagara River, providing a dramatic vantage point perfect for photos and sightseeing.
Lunch will be on our own in Niagara Falls. Our guide will provide options for us.
Up next, Old Fort Niagara is a historic military site located at the mouth of the Niagara River, offering a fascinating glimpse into over 300 years of history. Originally built by the French in the 18th century, the fort played a key role in the French and Indian War, the American Revolution, and the War or 1812. We will be able to explore original stone buildings, watch musket and cannon demonstrations, and enjoy sweeping views of Lake Ontario.
We will return to our hotel to freshen up before dinner at the Red Coach Inn Restaurant, a historic and elegant dining spot overlooking the Upper Rapids of Niagara Falls.

Day 4: Thursday, June 25
After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, we will step into a world of nostalgia and craftsmanship at the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum. Housed in the original Allan Herschell Company factory, this unique museum celebrates the golden age of American amusement with beautifully restored carousels, historic band organs, and hands-on exhibits. We can ride a 100+ year-old carousel, explore the original carving and paint shops, and discover how these whimsical rides were brought to life.
Next, we will treat our senses to a sweet escape at Platter’s Chocolate Factory. This beloved local gem invites visitors to explore its chocolate-making process through self-guided tours, featuring public viewing areas and engaging video displays. Watch as handcrafted treats come to life, then browse the shop for delicious confections or relax in the cozy café.
Lunch will be on our own today before we begin our scenic journey back home to Lancaster County.
