Day 1: Wednesday, April 14
We make our way to Williamsburg, Virginia, where we enjoy a delicious lunch at one of Williamsburg’s local eateries. After lunch, we meet our guide for a tour of Colonial Williamsburg and the Governor’s Palace, America’s largest living history museum.
Following our tour, we will travel to Virginia Beach and check in at the Oceanfront Inn. Dinner is included at a local restaurant.
Day 2: Thursday, April 15
We begin our day with breakfast at our hotel. Afterwards, we will enjoy an admission package to the Nauticus and Battleship Wisconsin. Explore the Nauticus and enjoy hands-on exhibits, a new 3D theater, shark tank, touch tanks, and aquariums. The Battleship Wisconsin is one of the largest and last battleships built by the U.S. Navy. Walk her teak decks, stand beneath her towering 16” guns, and experience what is was like living on board as a sailor.
Afterwards, we board the Victory Rover for a lovely cruise and a box lunch.
This evening, we will have dinner at a local restaurant in Norfolk.
Following dinner, we make our way to Scope Arena for the Virginia International Tattoo. The heartbeat of the Virginia International Tattoo is its extraordinary international cast. Every year, the Tattoo includes military bands, drill teams, bagpipers, drummers, Celtic dancers, choirs and more from around the globe to create a spectacular performance. The performers epitomize talent, discipline, hard work and pride for their passion and cultural traditions.
Day 3: Friday, April 16
We begin the day with breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards, we will check out and head to the Stephen Udvar-Hazy Air & Space Museum in Chantilly, VA. A docent will greet and lead us through the museum’s collection and outline the history of air and space travel. After the tour, there will be free time to explore the museum.
Then, we will board the coach and head home, filled with many fond memories of our time in Virginia.
