Set in the spectacular Pine Creek Gorge, the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania stretches over 45 miles and reaches depths over 1,000 feet. The dynamic topography of the PA Grand Canyon creates many scenic wonders, including steep canyon walls and waterfalls. Come along with us, as we take in that wonder during the peak fall foliage!
We begin our fall adventure with a delicious brunch buffet at Timeless Destination, located along the gas-lit streets of downtown Wellsboro. The group will have a variety of hot and cold dishes to choose from.
Following our brunch, we meet our guide and make our way to the Ole Covered Wagons for a tour through the PA Grand Canyon. The wagon tour guides are fluent in the history of the Canyon going back to the 19th century. Sit back and relax as our guides tell the tale while the horses wind their way on the Pine Creek Rail Trail.
Back aboard the motorcoach, we make our way to the top of the PA Grand Canyon, for a stop at the Overlook and Visitor Center. This breathtaking, natural phenomenon is 50 miles long and 1,000 feet deep; it takes up a full 300,000 acres of forestland! The Canyon is also home to Bald Eagles and river otters, white tail deer, black bear and wild turkey.
